Holy cow!! How has it already been a year since I made my own sourdough starter?? To celebrate this precious lil baby turning 1 I wanted to put together a COMPLETE guide to making my sourdough recipe. It was refined over many months of trial and error and it's become my goto bake thanks to the relative simplicity of it and the fact that I can adjust it to fit my schedule. Though it does take place over 3 days, the handson time isn't too bad at all and all materials involved are pretty basic! If you've been nervous about trying sourdough I can't recommend it enough! It's so easy to get bogged down with the idea of making "perfect" bread before realizing it doesn't NEED to be perfect. Even imperfect loaves taste super dang tasty! I hope this recipe will be a great entry point for someone just getting started. I opted to skip over information about how to make your own starter from scratch, but if that's something you'd like to see let me know in the comments!!

BONUS: Freezing & Reheating
1. Slice your cooled bread into pieces to your desired thickness.
2. Place the slices flat on a pan, tray or plate and freeze for 1520 minutes.
3. Transfer the frozen bread slices to a freezersafe bag or container and reheat as needed.
4. Reheat the bread slices at 350 degrees for 10 minutes until warmed through but not quite toasted.
