McNeil River State Game Sanctuary, Alaska, June 2018. This sequence features the female adult brown bear named “Waterfalls”. She is one of the largest and highestranking females at McNeil. Beyond that, she is a particular favorite of ours. We filmed Waterfalls on our first visit to McNeil in 2007. She had two second summer cubs at the time and was so very tolerant of our presence. In subsequent visits we have sometimes had short glimpses of her. But on our most recent visit we had some great encounters.
