This Episode
Before we start this episode about Pagosa Springs, Colorado, I can't help but share with you one more little bike ride Joanna and I did the day before we left Canon City. Canon City's Arkansas Riverwalk is seven miles of trail that wind along the Arkansas River through Cañon City and beyond. Unfortunately, we had to cut our day short because of rain but what we did get to ride was wonderful!

We parked the truck at Centennial Park, which is close to the Royal Gorge Rail Station. If you haven't seen the footage of the Tunnel Drive Trail or Alta Vista Trail, I'll link it here and, in the description, below because those two trails were fantastic!

The next day, we headed out for a 3.5hour drive through Monarch Pass to Pagosa Springs, CO.

Pagosa Springs is one of our favorite destinations in Colorado. There're great restaurants, bike trails, hot tubs, tubing, beautiful sights and trails close by, plus you're in close proximity to Chimney Rock National Park. Pagosa Pines RV Park is a great little park, too. With only about 27 RV hookups, two tiny home cabins, fenced in dog park, live entertainment on the weekends, and a pretty little walking path, it's a beautiful and peaceful place to call home.

On our way back to our homebase, we stopped over night at a Love's RV Hookup in Amarillo, TX.

We usually stay at the Oasis RV Resort that's literally down the road from this Love's, but the Love's was much less expensive and all we needed for an overnight stop. One word of caution though. We were in spot #10 and the hookups were at the very rear of our bus. Thank goodness Mark had an extension cord. A Class C parked next to us who was also towing & he had a time getting connected as well...so our long length wasn't the problem. It was a nice stop for us & Diesel even got to enjoy a big fencedin dog park. We will use this Love's again!

Over the last 20+ years, we've owned a couple of Airstreams, a 5thwheel & now a Class A motorhome. We've traveled with Great Danes and Dobermans without the luxury of slides! (We've had some interesting times! ) Our channel is centered around our experiences as we prep for, do, and conclude our trips. BTW, we started with an Airstream because we liked their quality and design. We traded it for a 5thwheel because Mark got transferred and thought slides would be more roomie. We then traded it for another Airstream because we didn't have enough truck to pull the 5thwheel...and again because we liked the quality and design of an Airstream. We then bought our first motorhome (that we currently have) because as you can imagine it was a little hard to travel with a Great Dane and Doberman in the backside of a truck! Please keep in mind that these changes were over a 10 or so year span. Purpose of our Channel We connect with people & places by living, learning, traveling, & enjoying! Our Motto BEST DAY EVER!
