In this video I wanted to share how I mix up my new Behr/Glidden Pouring Medium mix for the Blooms Technique as well as show you how I mix up my paints regardless of the pouring medium I am using. I get a lot of questions on how I mix up paints so I hope this is helpful! I hope you enjoy watching this half as much as I enjoyed creating it! Thanks so much for watching! ❤❤

Products Used:

PM Mix:
Base Behr Premium Plus Interior/Exterior Hi Gloss Deep Base (8300): Found at Home Depot
Glidden Premium Base 3 in SemiGloss (In Canada its the Accent Base): Found at Home Depot
Varnish Jo Sonja Gloss Varnish: https://josonja.com or Dick Blick online
PM Mixed 2:1:1 Behr 2 parts/Glidden 1 part /Varnish 1 part

NOTE: Did a quick test subbing the Jo Sonja with the Minwax One Coat water base clear gloss varnish and it works great! I think the Varathane Triple Thick water base clear gloss varnish will work just as well too. So, if you don’t have the Jo Sonja have no fear in substituting! I did note the ratios using the Minwax made the PM a bit thicker so maybe do either 1.5 parts of the Glidden or the Varnish instead of 1 to thin it down or use thicker, either way. This PM mix regardless of varnish used works best with the AUS Floetrol CA, so far in my testing it doesn’t play nice with the US Floetrol CA, maybe some of you can get it to work though! ☺

PM to Paint measurement (estimate):
1.5oz (45ml) PM to between 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) to a 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) paint to start. If too thin add a little more paint (or even a gel gloss), if too thick add a little more PM to thin more.
