This was Type 3 Class 37 CoCo locomotive, British Railways No.37025 (D6725) first ever start up in preservation at the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway then followed by its first test run .
I remember that day when I was told by the class 37025 team you better get your camera ready Eck because we're going for a startup and a test run and later that evening Class 37025 team leader and driver Steven Ramage kindly invited me on board for the trip and man what an experience it was to.
Owned by the Scottish 37 Group. Working Order.
Built by English Electric, Vulcan Foundry, 1961. 1,750 BHP.
Named Inverness TMD
The locomotive was delivered new to Stratford depot, London, and was transferred to Glasgow Eastfield in 1981, Inverness in 1982, Eastfield in 1986, Inverness in 1992, Motherwell in 1994, and Bescot in 1995. It was sold for preservation in 2000. Full details of 37025's service history is available at the Class 37 Locomotive Group website, and details of activity at Bo'ness will be found at the SRPS Diesel Group website.

After a thorough overhaul, the locomotive returned to traffic on 29th September 2007, for the Bo'ness & Kinneil Autumn Diesel Gala.
