Looking for a way to beat rising Austin rents, Texas Architecture student Davis Richardson built his own tiny mobile house.

“Kinetohaus” translated simply means “moving house;” in designing and building a tiny house on wheels in which to live while attending graduate architecture school at The University of Texas at Austin, inspiration came from the flexibility and dynamism of lifestyle that comes with tiny houses. Unlike conventional buildings on a fixed site, tied to a permanent foundation, this tiny house would be able to go wherever life leads; this solution, while much more affordable than a traditional home due to its size, also allows for adaptability of lifestyle, less financial risk, more diverse built environments, and a more sustainable future.
