I lift two heavy cross beam logs onto the top of the cabin and with the help of my daughter and wife, start our year of producing 3 million calories on the first day of spring by making maple syrup, starting seeds, expanding the growing beds in my geodesic greenhouse, making biochar and laying rotten wood for hugelkultur mounds in the forest garden.
