1) Incorrect water levels
2) Drowning hazards
3) Dangerous substrates
4) Not regulating basking platform and water temperature
5) Dangerous fish
6) Feeding pellets outside of the water
7) Overfeeding
8) Basking platforms with steep ramps and basking platforms are too small
9) Small tanks
10) Aquatic plants are hard to maintain
11) Not cleaning filters enough
12) Not putting water conditioner in tap water
13) Picking up your turtle too much
