This poor boy is in his final years of life, and they're about to be stolen as he falls victim to painful neglect and medical conditions that need to be treated ASAP. With our experience in animal welfare and dogs found on the streets, we know that strays typically only survive 2 years at most when they are living unprotected on their own. So given that this boy is at least 11 years old, it's devastatingly obvious that he has been dumped, most likely by the very ones he trusted the most to keep him safe.

We can't imagine abandoning an innocent soul, much less one who is in his final years of life, and one who needs medical attention. The owner likely didn't care enough to give Murray the care he needed, so he just dropped him off on the streets to rot.

We're horrified at what Murray has been through, and his deplorable condition is only proof that whatever his past looked like, it was nothing short of traumatic. He has nearly no teeth left, large patches of skin where fur should be, and more fur that continues to fall out by the second. His skin is infected and taken over by scabies and he is Ehrlichia positive after ticks ravaged on his body. His frail body can hardly stand due to the extreme malnutrition and anemia that subsequently followed. His bones stick out of the body that now more closely resembles a skeleton. He's a shadow of himself.

Our hearts are absolutely shattered, and we want to do everything we can to help this innocent soul enjoy a pain free life for however many years, months, or days he has left.
