I’m teaching you how to write a book blurb! A book blurb is the summary of a novel that you find on the back of a paperback, the inside flap of a hardback, or under the description when you’re buying a book online. It’s supposed to tell a reader what the book is about while also inciting them to buy and read the book, but it can be intimidating to summarize a 100,000 word novel into a couple of paragraphs! Fortunately, I have experience in writing blurbs, and I’m sharing my best tips with you today! In this video, I’m talking about how to write a hook that grabs readers’ attention, how to introduce your main character, how long a blurb should be, and more! So if you aren’t sure how to write your book description, how to write a blurb that sells, or don’t know how to write a back cover blurb that ACTUALLY catches readers’ interest, this video is for you!
