Clara has been sharing her recipes, history and advice on YouTube since 2007. I would give anything to have her here right now to witness all the love you have given her, it is truly overwhelming. Thank you so much for showing her how important she still is. The outpouring of love you gave her while she was still with us absolutely changed her life.

When she was young she wanted to act on the stage. A dream which was taken away when she had to quit her school and become the family's bread winner.

We never expected this to get so big, but thanks to you, Nana got to experience the spotlight which had been nothing more than a distant glimmer for nearly 90 years.

She said that “In my old age, I’m wearing red shoes,” which is an old Sicilian expression meaning that she was pulling off the impossible in her old age. But it wasn’t so impossible. Nana was always a diamond and thanks to YouTube, the world got to see her shine.

I take incredible joy in sharing our little videos with you. It is bittersweet to revisit these precious memories. I smile, I cry, I miss her and I am grateful to have these fragments of her joy and wisdom.
