For me, metal detecting isn't about finding that "gold ring", it is about the adventure of the hunt and the opportunity to gain more knowledge through discovery. Never knowing what will be found is my allure. It allows me to explore new places and meet new people. While treasure hunting, I meet all my goals of hiking, biking, exploring, being underwater, and documenting through photo/video. Being a member of a true historical society, I continue to grow personally and learn more about the wonders of what resides just off the Treasure Coast of Florida my back yard.
