在好萊塢急需劇本的現在大量的小說浮上檯面改編成為劇本詹姆士·卡萊維的小說幕府將軍是一個更棘手的影集題材一個老外航海員在日本封建時代的冒險。也就是老外小貓兩三隻80%以上的時間都講著相當文言文的日語這種改編需要一個老外視角同時用著道地日本人的雙眼想想也只以真田廣之以製作人的身分才產的出幕府將軍。
