【English follows Japanese】　2020年7月9日、スナネコのシャリフ(♂)とジャミール♀の間に生まれたアミーラの妹3頭。そのうちの1頭は人工保育で育てられましたが、他の2頭は母親のもとですくすく成長中。生まれて暫くは巣箱の中にいた為あまり撮れていないのですが、成長するにつれて顔を出してくれるようになりました。2頭の赤ちゃんが母親やお互いにじゃれる姿は見ていて顔が緩みます。

じゃれたり走り回ったりと元気いっぱいのスナネコたちは飼育している施設も少なく、まだまだ生態など謎の多い動物です。那須どうぶつ王国も飼育や繁殖を通してスナネコの飼育技術の発展や生態の研究に貢献できるように尽力していきたいと思います。

Three female sand cats were born on July 9, 2020. They are Amira's sisters. One of them was raised in artificial care because she was away from her mother and fell into hypothermia, but the other two are growing up nicely with their mother.

They were in a nesting box for a while, so we didn't get many video of them, but as they grow up, they started to show their faces to us.

There are only a few breeding facilities that keep sand cats, and their biology is still a mystery to us. We at Nasu Animal Kingdom will do our best to contribute to the development of the breeding techniques and the study of their biology through breeding and breeding.
