Hey everyone, welcome back to g8stromania. Dragon Boat Festival falls on 14 June this year. On this day, it's a Chinese custom to eat Rice Dumplings. There are many variations of rice dumplings around Asia. Today, my mom is going to share our rice dumpling recipe based on the Hokkien Meat Dumplings that are commonly found around Singapore and Malaysia. This recipe has been passed down 3 generations so it's definitely worth a try. I will voiceover the parts where she does not talk. She will speak in mandarin and I will add the subtitles for her.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
70 pcs bamboo leaves
30 rice dumpling strings
500g Pork Belly
1 tsp salt
1 tsp white pepper powder
1 tsp five spice powder
1 tbsp cooking wine
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
0.5 tbsp dark soy sauce

1kg glutinous rice
100g dried mushrooms
100g dried chestnuts
250g shallots
60g dried shrimps
