The archers built this church in stone in 1657 (according to different sources, it stands in the 1670s). In 1691, chapels were erected in honor of Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves and in honor of St. Nicholas, whose name from time on became the main one for "Nicholas in Pyzhi". After the devastation in 1812, the temple was rebuilt, starting in 1848, at the expense of the Lyamin merchants.
The temple was closed in 1934; the last rector before closing was the Monk Confessor Gabriel (Igoshkin, 18881959). The temple was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1990, the service began in 1991. Iconostases modern, works by IV Klimenko; in the Nikolsky sidealtar paintings of the late 19th century by A. Sokolov.

Moscow Theater of the Moon, founded in 1993 by actor Sergei Prokhanov.
In 1990, Sergei Prokhanov created the commercial studio of realistic fiction "Moon" at the Soyuzconcert. Three years later, Prokhanov received the premises in the building for operational management and repaired it at his own expense. Since then, the studio has been a fullfledged theater. The opening was marked by the premiere of the play "Byzantium" based on the play "The Poisoned Tunic" by Nikolai Gumilyov and took place on February 14, 1993. And in 1994 the theater became stateowned.
