New bus in service!

AC Transit has been rolling out a lot of new Gillig EV buses around their divisions, and now finally D2 are putting them on routes that already uses hydrogens, like the 12, 18, 52, 79 and 88! Yesterday (11/5/23) this highest numbered bus is on the 52, providing an important link with a quiet ride between UC village, BART stations and UC Berkeley!

This bus is so far one of the best types of Gilligs I've ever rode! When it accelerates it sounds so quiet and smooth, air conditioning was strong, and there is a good smell of a new bus! The operator knew how to drive this electric bus, and I realized that the button to open doors is actually a knob, rather than a turning stick!
