کوروش کبیر به عنوان ابرمرد تاریخ ایران، یکی از شجاع‌ترین و محبوب‌ترین پادشاهان ایران و هخامنشیان محسوب می‌شود. این پادشاه با گفتار، کردار و پندار نیک خود انقلاب بزرگی در امپراتوری‌های تاریخ برپا کرد.
یکی از بزرگترین تاریخ سازی های کوروش بزرگ،
• فتح سرزمین بابل در نبرد اوپیس بودکه این سرزمین، ثروتمندترین شهر غرب آسیا شناخته می‌شد.
کوروش بزرگ پس از تسخیر این سرزمین، 25 هزار یهودی را از اسارت آزاد کرد و کتیبه ای بر روی استوانه ای سفالی با خط میخی هک نمود که
بیانگر رفتار انسان دوستانه ایرانیان با مردمان سرزمین بابل را شرح داده است که
به عنوان اولین رفتار انسان‌دوستانه در جهان نام برده می‌شود.
