Yukon River Trip Whitehorse to Dawson +700km | 7 Nights

Taking off from Whitehorse to Dawson down a historic river, averaging 8090 km per day. The days were long and it never got truly dark on these July summer nights. The Yukon river was just receding peak flooding levels after a late glacier thaw, which made finding campsites tough and resulted in some late days. Although with these struggles, we enjoyed the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife in this unique heritage river.

The fishing was limited due to the distance we needed to cover and once the Teslin river joined, it stirred the river into silty mud that wasn't worth fishing. We did find some decent grayling fishing in one stretch of the river, which was a new species added to my book.
