The Smith and Wesson combat magnum is a classic trusted by many for self defense and law enforcement duty over the decades. The Model 66 has been a popular and reliable choice for many years, although it is more frequently featured on wheelgun Wednesday posts than actually carried these days. But the 357 magnum K frame revolver is still a formidable firearm for concealed carry, home defense, every day carry. Are the days of the revolver long gone? Or would you consider carrying a snubnose or snubbie like this No Dash stainless steel magnum from S&W? Many consider the Model 66 and Model 19 to be the best revolvers ever made for carry and self defense even though the Kimber K6S and K6XS have been the new revolver hotness. But has it been completely outpaced by modern semiautos like Glock, Sig, M&P, Walther PDP, CZ, Staccato, etc? What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
