Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews says poor white Americans believe Donald Trump is Jesus.
On March 25, Trump posted a message from a supporter who compared his legal struggles to the persecution of Jesus.

On Monday's MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Matthews said Trump's supporters, who are often "poor people," view him as a God because he calls himself one.
