I did not expect to install one of these in my new truck, but after a few outings in the rain while hauling goods that need to stay dry, I gave it a more detailed consideration. The rain getting in may be to blame a combination of the MultiPro tailgate itself (more seams) combined with my tonneau cover (way it overlaps on top). I realize it's a truck tailgate and not intended to be watertright, but I figure might as well try a tailgate seal. So I found one from ESI that is exclusively designed for GM trucks, both the GMC with MultiPro tailgate, and the Chevy with MultiFlex tailgate. So what are my thoughts after installing it? And does it actually work? I'll share the details in today's video along with both testing for water with a garden hose and a rain shower.
