The iBUYPOWER Slate MR1004 is the next in our lineup of prebuilt gaming PCs to review. As usual, we have gaming benchmarks, thermals, noise testing, power consumption, and a teardown to help determine who makes the best prebuilt gaming PC at a given price. This one is closer to the $700 mark, whereas previous prebuilt reviews featured $900 and $1050 systems. Being the cheapest one yet makes it the most accessible, but unfortunately, it also means there’s the most room for cornercutting if the system integrator (SI) allocated its budget in nonsensible ways.

We buy these prebuilts out of pocket to help inform your decision making. It's our goal to eventually find a couple that are good (without modification) so we can make some recommendations.
