Do you use street view in Google Maps? I love to walk around the streets of the world even though it's virtual. In this view you can walk around not only on the streets but also on some special points of the world. For example, you can climb the mountains. This is El Capitan in the Yosemite Park. 914 meters high granite wall. It was first discovered in 1851 and then climbed in 1958. Today, thanks to technology, you can at least see what it is like to climb up there from where you sit. In order for this to happen, the three expert climbers set up a camera and a tripod, which could shoot 360 degrees and viewed the whole climb. When we were looking at our photographs, they set up a tripod and a camera in places where our hands shake. Imagine that you spend the night trying to sleep in this halfmeter recess that is 300 meters above the ground. Through the climbing route you can see what these climbers have climbed up using. There are sections in which they squeeze their bodies between two rocks. When they are tired, they lie on thin rocks and rest. They find tiny cracks with their fingers and ascend. At places where elevation is not possible, they hold to small holes, which are very difficult to see. Sometimes they try to find their way beneath the huge rocks. They carry all their body weights at their fingertips. It's so painful in some cases that they can't stop screaming.
What if they can't hold on? If their eyes get dark? If all of a sudden their balance disappear? The answer is very simple. Gravity. They fall.
