Using cement board might be unorthodox but the results are turning out quite nice so far. The mistake of not squaring the frames before adding the braces also wound up producing a design aspect that I've grown to really like that would otherwise never have happened if things went 'right'. I wonder what other delights fate will throw at this project that has just begun!
