This chime is tuned to the closing notes of the popular Christmas carol, Silent Night. Stille Nacht, the title in German was written in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber and first performed on Christmas Eve at the Nikolauskirche in Oberndorf bei Salzburg, Austria. It is the world’s most recorded and beloved Christmas song.
