Woodland Photography and Dog Portrait In this episode, I shoot the last of the Autumn colours in a local woodland and capture a Dog Portrait, just for good measure!

It's that time of the year when every photographer ventures into the woods or nearby treefilled area and shoots dying trees. If you can't beat them as they say, why not join them?

Shooting Woodlands isn't something I've ever given consideration to in the past, and it's certainly never been on my radar or wishlist either. I just had a bit of spare time so I thought, what the hell!

If I'm honest, I quite enjoyed it. In this video, I demonstrate my thought process regards looking for a composition and I also talk you through a shot from start to finish. It's about telling a story or telling a joke. Watch the video and you'll understand my logic.

I also met a wonderful couple (Tricia & Ian) who were taking their dog (Zac) for a walk. The dog looked fantastic and blended into the autumn theme so much, I asked if I could grab a couple of shots. They duly obliged and the results speak for themselves. I wish I had more time with the dog but it was all just a fleeting thing!
