Simone was the first woman in NSW and, I believe, Australia to become qualified as a steam driver. She is seen here driving BB 181/4 loco, 1072 on the fabulous ZigZag Railway, at Lithgow, West of Sydney. I was lucky to have a cabride with her, and fireman, Colin back in 2005. She is now qualified as a mainline steam driver, to my knowledge, again, the first (I hope of many).
