Winter trout fishing is arguable the most difficult time of the year to catch trout which is what makes it so good. While most anglers are sitting at home tying flies there are a few who still decide to brave the elements and go fishing. The rewards on a good winter day are always worth the misery, and because so few people are out fishing you can have entire rivers to yourself. This makes it a perfect time to explore your local waterways for some of the biggest fish of the year.
