Leisure Travel Vans Owners leave me their old components (small Lithium battery, shunt, inverter, isolator solenoid, etc.) after I help them do upgrades because I always find someone to give the items to and help them with an upgrade as well. We call it paying it forward. Not everyone needs big upgrades like I typically do, particularly those that simply drive to a campground and plug into shore power. In this video I'm installing a used fairly new Lossigy 200ah single Lithium battery and Victron Smart Shunt, and new Victron 17a Battery charger in a 2016 Winnebago Navion. This is a single 200ah Lithium battery upgrade that you can do for about $1100. The Power Distribution Center in this Winnebago is exactly like the one's I've seen in Leisure Travel Vans Wonder Models, so this video could be helpful to Wonder Owners as well.

A 200ah Lithium battery replacement for lead acid batteries (Flooded Wet Cell or AGM batteries only have 50100ah of usable power) is all some folks need or want. Typical small capacity Lithium batteries don't have any sort of way to monitor the batteries, so you need to add a Bluetooth Victron Smart Shunt, then you can always monitor what's going on with your batteries. A Victron Smart Shunt is like a fuel guage for your batteries. I also recommend one for owners that still use lead acid batteries. Here are the Lithium Battery shunt settings to use; Battery capacity: 200 Ah, Charged voltage: 14.2 volts, Discharge Floor: 10%, Tail Current: 4.0%, Charged detection time: 3 minutes, Peukert Exponent: 1.05, Charge efficiency factor: 99%, Current threshold: 0.10 amps, Time to go average: 3 minutes, Synchronize: Sync (sync when batteries are fully charged). Disable the Misc Category Aux Input setting.

Older motorhomes typically have on board lead acid battery chargers (Power Distribution Center Converter/Battery Charger or small inverter battery chargers), in order to upgrade to Lithium batteries you must also have a good Lithium battery charger. In this video I also replace the Power Distribution Center Converter/Battery Charger with a high quality Bluetooth 17a Victron Battery Charger, which has an excellent Lithium profile battery charger.
