In 2002 there were only 25 wineries in North Carolina. By 2012, there were more than 100. By then, the wine industry's annual economic impact had reached more than $1.5 billion. This documentary examines the reasons behind the industry's phenomenal growth and how it breathed new life into rural communities struggling from the decline of tobacco and textiles.
