What was ment to be a relaxing trip to the forest ends up being an exciting and very late evening full of wildlife photography, and once again I got a lesson in always to expect the unexpected when dealing with nature!

In Wildlife Photography Roe deer, I am doing my my vlog in the forest close to where I live. After a long period with a callender full of lectures, photo exhibitions, photo books to send and stuff like that, it is finally time to get out to discover nature and to do some wildlife photography.
Actually I did not expect anything of this day, when I packed the Nikon camera, the lenses and a bottle of coffee, but once again nature surprised me.

Luckily I had my Nikon D5 and the big 600mm f/4 telephoto lens and a camouflage jacket in my photo bag, so I was kind of prepared, if something exciting appeared!

It was such an amazing experience to sit out there when the darkness desaturated nature and the deer slowly walked away over the little hill, and I was left alone once again humbled by the experience nature gave me.

In this series of behind the scenes vlogs I want to share my fascination of nature with you and invite you behind the scene when I am out photographing the fascinating wildlife, the stunning landscapes and the wild nature. I work as a ILCP photographer, and nature conservation is very close to my heart.
