I figured if I raised my voice, it wouldn't scare the squirrel away. We were visiting a family friend's house when this little squirrel came up to us.
UPDATE OCT 28th, 2020 Insane! I received a message from the neighbor of the older couple. Somehow, someway, the neighbor saw the video. It turns out that they did call the local wildlife rescue people after all. I don't know anything else beyond that, but after I confirmed the location, she told me how she was talking to the couple later that day or the next day and the rescue people came out. I can't say if they took it or not or if the squirrel turned to a life of crime or went to college, but hey, they tried!
