With my fitness coming back 'on stream' after the Haute Route Dolomites and the Porlock Hill Climbs, late on I decided for a final hit out in Italy taking on the UCI Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine, one of the oldest classics in Europe, with an enticing looking Goldilocks course, not too long and not too short comprising 125km and 2200m of elevation... on closed roads an in a truly sublime part of Italy (just north of Milan).

The objective was simple pace it intelligently and give it my max!! Fast & Furious ensued !!
