Welcome back! It is time to swap out the springs on my Jeep Wrangler. When looking at building an overland vehicle, one of the most overlook components are the springs, specifically spring rates. Most of us, including myself, look at how much height they get out of a spring. But, height is less important than the spring rate itself. It is important to know how much weight you plan to carry so that you can size the spring to the weight being carried. By understanding how much weight you plan to carry and choosing the correct spring rate to compensate for the added weight, your rig will preform better on and off the road.

Watch as I swap out Metal Cloak springs for Old Man Emu Springs to see what happens, and to see what condition the Metal Cloak springs are after 65,000 miles of hard use.
