According to Derek, people who are not delivered are not meeting the conditions that are necessary. The reasons for them not meeting the conditions are:

1. Lack of repentance,
2. Lack of desperation (passivity),
3. Wrong motives (James 4:3),
4. Selfcenteredness (desire for attention, they don’t want to be delivered),
5. Failure to break with occult,
6. Failure to sever evil soulish relationships,
7. Under a curse,
8. Failure to confess a specific sin (e.g. abortion),
9. Not separated by water baptism,
10. Part of a larger battle (requiring corporate action).
