Professor Rudolph Ware, a historian specialising in anticolonial and antislavery resistance movements, speaks about Palestinian liberation. He says that people like Candace Owens “legitimised state violence against black people” and that platforming her would be harmful to building common solidarity around Palestinian liberation. Ware adds that the proPalestine movement also does not need people like Shaun King who want to “benefit personally” or “monetize anything, at any time that has to do with our people’s liberation”.
