You might think it's an invention of the XX century, but it turns out that the initial lollipoplike sweet treat was most likely “invented” by people that roamed the Earth thousands of years ago while still living in caves. Ancient Egyptians also had a “lollipop” of their own. They took various fruits and nuts and glazed them in honey. The “lollipop” timeline now takes us to 1912, when a man named Samuel Born actually invented a device that inserted sticks into candy. And, it looks like Salvador Dali himself has played his role in lollipop history!
