For my money, no character in South Park has had a journey and evolution as satisfying as Kenny McCormick. The character started as a onenote punchline who was killed in every episode, to briefly being killed off permanently. And before ya knew it, with some smart writing and creative narrative maneuvering, Kenny became a genuinely complex and compelling character. He went from basically being too thin to use in any substantial way to having arguably the most nuanced and tragic backstory. A character with a great heart, and true pathos. So today, let’s look at the complete evolution of the immortal child, Kenny McCormick.
