I received a question from Paula:
"I was watching your lesson on melodic development and scales applied to harmony. I definitely fall into the category of someone who can play scales but has trouble applying them when improvising. So, I am keen to try to practice and learn this way. My question is about why you chose a minor 3rd transposing cycle. Is there some specific reason for this? I usually practice scales and patterns either by going up a 4th around the cycle or up a semi tone from low b flat. Is it just another option and one more way of just doing your practicing differently, or is there a reason for your choice for this ? Thanks, Paula"
