WHY IS THE INTERVIEWER ASKING YOU THE QUESTION, WHY DO YOU WANT THIS JOB?
#1. The vast majority of candidates are only interested in a paycheck. They just want a job! But, a candidate who simply wants a job with any company is more likely to be unhappy in their work, and they probably won’t stay working for that company for very long.

#2. If you know the reasons why you want the job it tells the hiring manager you are somebody who PLANS AHEAD, and somebody that MAKES DECISIONS based on sound judgment. Therefore, you are more likely to be a productive employee.

THE 3 THINGS YOU MUST INCLUDE IN YOUR ANSWER TO THE INTERVIEW QUESTION, WHY DO YOU WANT THIS JOB?
NUMBER 1 – Talk about the fact that you have READ THE JOB DESCRIPTION and you believe you already have the skills, qualities, and attributes to perform highly.

NUMBER 2 – Talk about your PASSION for working in your chosen industry. So, for example, if it’s a customer service role you are applying for, say you are passionate about helping people. If it’s a sales role, say you are passionate about achieving difficult targets and constantly pushing yourself. If it’s a technical role, say you are passionate about coming up with innovative solutions to difficult problems that help a business to move forward.

NUMBER 3 – Talk about how you are attracted to their business. Tell the interviewer you have researched their company before applying, and their standards and their workplace culture are attractive to you because you believe this is somewhere you will be able to thrive whilst working alongside other likeminded professionals.
