Why Do People Like Mass Effect

For all the mess I talk about the dialog wheel and the dumbing down of RPGs, Mass Effect, which arguably helped main stream the dumbing down is still one of my favorite modern RPGs, but why? Why do I and so many others love this trilogy and what does each game do that makes it have a special place in all of our hearts. Well, let's dig in, shall we?
