There is a lot of money and effort being put into innovative battery technologies to solve some of those concerns, and an exciting one is related to the utilization of metalair technology... the claim is that it might produce a battery with over 1,000 miles of range. Electric vehicles, along with renewable energy sources, are critical pieces of the jigsaw for paving a path to a netzero future. In recent years, the EV market has expanded rapidly. Though lithiumion batteries have fueled an electric car revolution, we often see ranges of about 300 miles, broadly speaking, which may not be sufficient for lengthy journeys. Nobody likes to be forced to wait for a longer duration when recharging on a road trip, or to fight to find a nearby fast charger. Furthermore, there are still some reservations regarding perceived lithium battery dangers such as battery deterioration due to temperature changes, leakage induced by mechanical stress, and overcharge or discharge.
These concerns have opened the way for researchers and companies all over the world to develop superior alternative battery technologies such as liquid air, liquid metal, solidstate, supercapacitors, and so on.
