Our house was super dry during the winter and we realized that the whole house humidifier on the furnace wasn't working.

There was no water coming out of the hose and getting to the filter. So trying to think logically, i first checked that there was water at the main saddle valve. Then checked that the water was getting to the solenoid. Then checked that the solenoid was getting power...it wasn't. Then i checked where the power should be coming from and i found a transformer that wasn't plugged in. It turned out to be a simple fix, i got lucky.

Typically it's something like a bad or clogged solenoid that isn't allowing water to flow through. But all i had to do was plug the transformer back in and secure it with a zip tie.
