A puppy's eye sight usually takes up to 16 weeks to fully develop. With that being said she's not use to seeing and hearing male voices at home as much as us ladies.
SIDE NOTE: This is a guy who never saw himself as a "dog person," and claimed not to like them. I think Ciri and Peaches have shown him the joys a dog can bring to one's life.
