Hidden in Canada's Great Bear Rain Forest, wanders a rare white coloured bear. Despite the colour of its fur, the white bear is not a polar bear! In fact this mammal is called the Kermode Bear and is a subspecies of the American black bear. One of the rarest bears on the planet, only 100500 fully white bears exist. Known as the Spirit Bear, these beautiful creatures have been at the heart of oral stories of the indigenous peoples of the area. They believe the bear symbolizes the forest's spirit and so they call it the Spirit Bear!
