We had fun visiting PistachioLand, the New Mexico Museum of Space History and White Sands National Park!


We stayed near Alamogordo, which was a great spot to park our RV for easy access to all the attractions in the area. We sampled delicious pistachio treats at PistachioLand. We visited the New Mexico Museum of Space History, learning about early space history, and the role this region played in space exploration. Then we visited White Sands National Park, where we drove the scenic loop, stopping to sled down some sand dunes, joining a National Park Ranger guided tour and finishing the day with looking out over a gorgeous sunset over the gypsum sand dunes.

✅ Visitor Center with information and tourist shops. Sled rental. Ranger led tours. Scenic viewpoints. Multiple hiking trails for varying levels (including one that is very accessible for anyone with mobility issues).
