A small flock of Whitecheeked Starlings (Sturnus cineraceus, family Sturnidae) was attracted to a crop field as a tractor ploughed around. Those synanthropic birds managed to overcome the fear against the noisy monstrous machine and followed after it to catch prey such as insects and worms in the dugout soil. This commensal behaviour is called as autolycism. Captured in the sunny latemorning (around 10:50 AM) of lateJune 2023 in Japan.
