This video will help you diagnose ice maker on a Kitchen Aid/Whirlpool refrigerator. First thing you want to do is check error codes for the ice maker. Hold the left most button on the user interface for 3 seconds. The control will show a count down during this process. Number 01 pops up. You want to go to number 56. This is the ice maker error code test. E2 is ice maker lost motor position error. Nine times out of 10 the ice maker is bad when this is the case.
