For nearly three decades now, the Ace Combat franchise has surpassed the lifespan of many other arcade flight games. At one point back in the 2000s, there where multiple studios trying their hand to put out and take on Bandai Namco and Project Aces' series. Most of them gave up after one game. Ubisoft however kept trying, and while they didn't really succeed, they did create some notable titles.
